Making a payment through this website:
You can make a payment through the website either by credit/debit card or through PayPal Express. Cheques are not accepted. Telephone orders can be placed by calling us on 01300 345915.
The I Like Chickens website uses a secure payment provider called SagePay to manage it's credit/debit card payments. This ensures both your security and ours. As you go through the checkout process, enter your address and phone contact details, choose to confirm your order, then you will see the 'Sage Pay' payment page. Here you can enter your card details, in complete security, your address details are already entered.
The I Like Chickens Company (Flyte so Fancy Ltd) is PCI DSS Compliant. PCI DSS is the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). It is a proprietary information security standard for organizations that handle branded credit cards from the major card schemes including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and JCB
To use PayPal Express, click the PayPal button, you can then login using your PayPal ID. Once logged in you will be returned to our website so that carriage charge can be calculated according to your delivery destination. You then just need to tick the Terms & Conditions box and click Confirm to complete your order.
When the order is placed at our website through SagePay, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. You will be asked to confirm the payment and the order completion notification is sent to us. You will then receive an email from Sage Pay saying the payment has been made, and an email from us saying we have received your order. Please check all details are correct. If you do not receive a confirmation email please check your spam folder or call us to make sure the order completed.
Depending on which card you are using to make you payment, you may be asked to complete the 3D secure process (Mastercard Securecard or Verified by Visa). This is simply another layer of security that is used in most on-line payment systems and is like using a PIN in a shop. If not already registered with your bank/card provider to use the 3D Secure, you will be asked to create a password which you can use every time you use any website with 3D Secure. This password is then used to authenticate the payment directly with your bank - security for you, security for us. We do not have access to any of these details.
If you are experiencing problems making a payment please check you have entered your email address correctly (with no spaces and the ISP spelled correctly, most payment errors are due to this problem), and that your name, address and particularly postcode are correct.
Troubleshooting payment problems:
1. Enter your email address accurately
2.. Enter postcode in the format: XX2(2) then space 2XX
3. Select correct destination from drop down boxes e.g. United Kingdom in box 1 and then England (or your country) in box 2. Do not enter your County into these boxes.
4. For PayPal, after logging in you will need to confirm acceptance of the delivery charge before your order is complete.
5. Always tick the 'Accept Terms & Conditions' box.
6. When in SagePay enter payment card number as one long number, no spaces.
7. You cannot avoid or skip the Verified/Securecard password box, you will need to enter characters from your password here or logon from that box to create one.
