Alison Lingley's greetings card shows a couple of hens breaking the news that breakfast is cancelled, as a broody hen lays on a clutch of eggs under the bed. The text on ther front of the card is "Can you make so with toast? Judith's gone broody ..."
Something that all poultry keepers around the country will be very familiar with, a cancelled breakfast from a broody hen. This card is from Alison's Animals range of animal themed humorous cards by Splimple.
Designed by Alison Lingley, the card is made from FSC paper and measures 210mm x 150mm and comes with its own envelope. The card has been left blank inside for you to write your own personal message.
Splimple says "Alison and her animals are 100% biodegradable - so if it wasn't for cards like this one, 100 years from now there would be no sign they ever existed, which is a bit depressing really. We don't know how to break it to her, but this card is biodegradable too, so she's just going to have to accept that she'll eventually be forgotten about, like the rest of us ... unless she becomes Prime Minister, marries the heir to the throne or invents the talking sprout".
